Book Making from Start to Finish and in Between

Saturday, June 6th through June 27th, 2pm - 5pm at Arts Benicia Studio

This four week course will cover a myriad of art and writing techniques that culminate in a final accordion book structure. Each class will focus on a specific set of techniques with the theme of the final book running through out the course.

June 6th - Paste Paper

June 13th - Image Transfer Techniques

June 20th - Text, Theme and Storytelling

June 27th - The Accordion Book

2 days until the Holiday Craftacular

Two days and counting to Craftacular!  The Don (Cheryl) of Petaluma's craftiest family interviewed me for their blog. Check out the interview here.  There were some pretty interesting questions including one on who I'd invite to the ultimate dinner party. Among the guests would have to be MJ of course. Will post pics sooner to show!

My First Etsy Sale!

Yea! I sold my first pair of miniature paper shoes on etsy. The purchaser, Miss Amber Mitchell, sent me this pic of them in their new home! Check out my etsy shop for other adorable paper creations by me, and look for amber's up and coming shop on etsy soon!

Wedding Shoes...

I'm still making paper shoes, and this pair was customized for a friend's wedding. Her colors were... can you guess?...hot pink and black. She also loves cameo style silhouettes and glitter!

Craftaluma Show in 2 Days!!!!

2 days until my first craft show. I hope Craftaluma is a success, as I have been working very hard in preparation! At the show I will be unveiling my miniature scenes, housed in glass cloche. Some hold paper shoes while others contain little creatures! I also have paste paper and gocco printed tea towels and a few other goodies. I am so excited!!!!

More chausseurs du papier!. I love the dome, but the moss is causing some moisture issues. My momentum has been a bit squashed because I love the micro-world and intimate feel of these little shoes in the dome, but I have to figure out a solution. Hmm....

Making Paper Shoes

I've been making paper shoes for about a year and a half, but had a rush of enthusiasm and inspiration last night to make some miniature shoes. These guys are in inspired by Marie Antoinette style shoes, and are in anticipation of selling at the Craftaluma show in Petaluma.
I made several pair, and am excited to make more tonight!
