Fall in Prague 2011

It was warm when we arrived. T-shirt and jeans sort of weather. Not the crisp and bright air I expected. No room for fluffy scarves, leather boots and heavy wool coats. Dreams of sipping tea in a street side cafe looking through a foggy window was replaced with a picnic in the park and an endless afternoon of sunshine. But after a few days, the weather changed and the wind carried away the golden dried leaves that sat, listless just a few days before... these are a few pics from the beginning of the trip I took last year to Prague.

Am so happy to see the cherry blossoms, here and there along my travels, starting to spring to life, white and pink dotting the landscape and punctuating my rather boring drive to and from work. Not such a great photo, but they make me happy, pink pompoms adorning my little kitchen table.

Winter

Rose hips, brightly colored, crimson red in a cobalt blue mexican cup for spicy hot chocolate... two perfect wintertime treats.

New Pieces for Craftacular

New version of my miniature worlds...this time created atop a vintage teacup!  I am making these for the Craftacular show coming up in December hosted by the Petaluma Craft Mafia. The price point is lower so they will be the perfect holiday gift for any budget. I will also be teaching a class on these in March at the^workshop in Berekeley!
