Drawings on Totes and Tees

Having a lot of fun drawing these days. I've been making so many of these little ladies at night. They are quick and fun to sketch up and I just love them. Added them to Society6 to see what they would look like large and on other items.... verdict? I ordered myself two totes!!!

Enjoy!

Print & Pattern

Loving the play of print and pattern thats popping up everywhere. From fashion, to fine art, home decor and graphic design, bold shapes and colors in repeat have set my heart a flutter!

I wear a dress everyday, so when I saw this dress by Secret Squirrel and lusted after it instantly!
Love the combination of jade green, coco brown and the sort of foresty olive green that it creates in this graphic by Jelle Martens. Im so drawn to geometric shapes layered over natural images, organic playing against hard edge lines... like this stag made by Maxime Quoilin
And you can bring this pattern phenomenon home too... buy artwork from aaron moran, great graphic prints from Eloise Renouf, check out this awesome iphone case by Dawn Gardner, these cool pillows by barkdecor on etsy or these adorable shoes

So inspired by the work of Olaf Hajek who's illustrations I've loved and admired for a while. I spotted him on first-stop this morning and was so happy to see his work again!

Pulp Fashion at The Legion

So everyone has been talking about the Pulp Fashion show at the Legion, and I'm a bit behind, but I finally got a chance to see it on this rainy Sunday. The show was spectacular! You have until June to see it, but don't wait because I guarantee you'll want to visit it at least twice!

I was especially impressed with the jewelry, lace details and the all white wigs were gorgeous!

Paper Fashion of Bea Szenfeld

Found the work of Swedish fashion designer, Bea Szenfeld on illusion 360.  I am obsessed with these images! These incredible garments are all made from paper. Check out Szenfeld's blog for other great images of her work and her inspiration.

Bright Star

Anthro just launched a new website called the anthropologist where they have film clips, images and writings from people who inspire...

Listed is the new film from Jane Campion, Bright Star. I found this clip on imdb that is just beautiful and magical.
